About Gabriel
Gabriel was born in Santa Barbara, a coastal California town north of Los Angeles. Early piano lessons in the ragtime style set the stage for his later interest in old blues songs and fingerstyle folk songs on the guitar.
His duo Mama's Greens (with João Luz on harmonica and slide guitar) recorded a full-length album with original and traditional material in 2025.
Gabriel's teaching career started during his studies at Munich's LMU University where he completed an M.A. in music education in 2011. He's been a passionate music educator for all ages ever since.
